Shalom channel was started with the goal of spreading the Gospel through mass media. Shalom is a nonprofit organization that had entered into the media field with the three publications Shalom Times, Shalom Tidings and Sunday Shalom. They tend to provide the viewers with answers for their problems and also solutions to console them.Shalom television is a Christian value based channel. It was started in 1998 as a half an hour programme in Asianet channel. Later Shalom Television channel was launched officially with the aim of starting a 24X7 channel in the year 2005.
